Santa brought me a bike...

Acutally, my tax refund from Canada bought me a bike... but they're close enough.

Behold: the Cannondale Six13. Yep. I'm quickly becoming that nut wearing spandex in public. Don't judge me-- I have never had more fun exercising!! And when it's 80 degrees all winter long, I have no excuse to not be outside playing!!

41 days to XMas...

Christmas decorations to come.... I just have to finish sewing my damn stockings.

I swear I do more than decorate my apartment. For the few non-family members who read this, this is more my way of showing my mom that I'm a grown up who can sometimes clean... and a way of keeping her updated on how things look down here in sunny Florida.

So... for our halloween issue, we decided to put a pumpkin on the front page. So naturally the task of carving the pumpkin fell on me. So I decided to buy the BIGGEST pumpkin possible... and not its living in my fridge to stay fresh until the shoot tomorrow.

ugh, moving vans.

Alright- here is where I need everyone's help, if they're still listening... erm, reading.

Any tips/hints/suggestions/wild ideas on how to move all of my stuff to Florida for under $2K? At the moment, the vans are looking to charge a TON, but for the high price I still have a 10-day window to wait for my stuff to arrive in FL. (i.e. they're putting it on the back of someone elses truck, so I can't get a guaranteed delivery date, and would LOVE to avoid leaving my first few days of work to let movers in!)

Any tips, leave a comment or email me, stefaniezimmerman@gmail.com

Thanks!

My apartment!!

Here are a TON of photos of my new apartment! Stay tuned- I'll post video walk-throughs soon!

The stairs in (I can't figure out how to make it go not-sideways, so just cock your head to the side for now...)

This is what you see once you get to the top of the stairs... its the living room.

This is the rest of the living room. The stairs are below that half-wall, and behind the stairs to the right of that pillar is a little nook we're trying to figure out what to do with. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know, as I'm stumped! (its 4' x 5.5')

This is the living room, and the man to the left is Blake, the pseudo-landlord/caretaker of the properties. He lives about a block away, so it'll be nice to have someone that close by to take care of things! I'm standing in the kitchen, and the window you see at the very back is in my bedroom.

This is my bright & shiny kitchen! Hooray for yellow tile!

The hallway from my kitchen/eating area to my bedroom. The bathroom is to the left and there is a closet to the right.

My bathroom. Yep. More sweet, yellow tile.

The other half of my kitchen. This is me, signing the lease!

The view outside the front window (over the stairs). Usually there are TWO sets of blinds, but we had a slight mishap and might have ripped one half of the blinds down. Yep. We're that good. Give us 5 minutes after the lease is signed, and we're tearing things apart.

The outside of my door & my address.
