Survey time!

"Minnie" has requested an update, so this is the crap you get... maybe when I'm not in the middle of a 13 hour shift at work I will come up with something more original (but don't count on it!).

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
Graduated from college, got a job, and moved 1,000+ miles from home.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I don't really do resolutions. I prefer daily goals to ignore instead.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

No, but everyone and their mom seemed to get engaged last year. Ugh.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Not this year, thankfully

5. What countries did you visit?

The US... and I got my tax return $$ from Canada!

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A savings account... and some stability.

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Aug. 20 (when I moved to FL), Dec. 1 (When I bought my bike!)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I guess graduating from college has to win this one. And getting my first paycheck and buying a new pair of shoes.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Letting a certain boy get to me as long as he did.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

I found out I was mildly lactose intolerant?

11. What was the best thing you bought?

My 2008 Cannondale Six13 bike!! Its LOVELY, and I feel like a badass because it goes really fast all on its own, even with my fat ass pedaling!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Mine. I learned to take care of myself finally!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Mine. Before I learned to take care of myself.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Rent. My bike. And Target's home decor department.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Biking. And Baking.

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?

I stopped listening to that "hip" top40 radio stuff... so my tunes are all old/weird/both. (TV on the Radio, Shins, Modest Mouse were the themes of the summer)

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
 a) happier or sadder?
b) thinner or fatter?
c) richer or poorer?
a) not sure yet. b) fatter (I have a kitchen to bake in now!) c) definitely richer, but previously I was unemployed so that doesn't really count

Gone to the beach

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?

Worrying about what people think of me.

Nope.

22. What was your favorite TV program?

Harry Potter 7. I know, I'm a Potter-nerd and proud of it.

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
TV on the Radio. And the XMU channel on XM

A bike! And a job! And my very own apartment! I LOVE living by myself.

27. What did you want and not get?

A puppy.

28. What was your favorite film of this year?

Hmm... ask me again later.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I worked 12 hours at the T-U. (Ugh.) I turned 23, and got to celebrate my birthday 3 days later when MU beat kansas and I was THERE.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Getting a puppy dog.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?

"Trying to look more grown up so maybe I'll feel more grown up." It's not working so far.

32. What kept you sane?
Living by myself, friday nights at E-Street, and having 3 day weekends. :)

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Fancy? Um... I found out that Victoria Beckham is really funny this year?

34. What political issue stirred you the most?
The '08 election. Boy how I wish I could be campaigning right now... stupid journalism job, requiring me to stay objective. :(

35. Who did you miss?

My mom! We're freakishly close.

36. Who was the best new person you met?

I would have died without Melinda, Liz and Erin this year. They totally saved me when I moved to Jax.

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007.

Pay all of your bills on time. And Canada gives nice tax refunds.

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
I choose to skip this question. I can't even remember where my keys are, let alone a lyric that sums up an entire year.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Now, where the fuck is my cell phone?
